Testimonials

”Louis and his assistant made the lesson feel easy going and enjoyable. Louis was professional and attentive. He accommodated our requests and met me where I was at in skill. My wife and I both really enjoyed the lessons.” – Émilie and Pascal, France

We were a bit nervous about trying shibari, especially since we weren’t sure how it’d be with someone new. But Louis was super attentive and made us feel comfortable from the start. His assistant was great, giving my girlfriend helpful tips throughout the session. Louis really understood our hesitations and adjusted everything perfectly. Definitely one of the best experiences of our trip to Japan!” – Kate and Peter, USA

”I was fortunate to be able to take several instructional workshops with Louis during my time in Tokyo and I cannot speak highly enough on the quality of the experience. He reached out prior to our meetings to briefly discuss my experiences, level, interests, priorities and then tailored the workshops accordingly. He was very prepared and professional at every turn. The workshops were hands-on and he moved quickly through the practical harness and suspension tutorials I wanted to study, but never so fast to lose me and he took pains to explain why he was doing things in the order and manner that he was rather than just saying ‘do it this way’ and then leaving it at that. Nerves, placement, tightness, theory, alternatives, all of these things were broached throughout the 3 hour workshops. Anytime I needed to see something demonstrated again, he would happily oblige and I found his patience and thoughtful teaching style perfectly suited for the experience. He brought an incredible model to the workshop, someone knowledgeable and experienced, and I was able to easily communicate with her. I look forward to going back and practicing/studying more, and I cannot recommend Louis and the workshops more highly.” – Thomas, USA

“Louis was a great teacher, very informed, thorough, & patient. He also did a great job of making us both feel comfortable! Would love to take more courses from him in the future when we visit Japan again.” Sarah and Ethan, Australia
